Title: How to search software archive?
Post by: cytan on 2007.05.14, 23:46:23
??? How do I search the software archive for a programme that may have been posted sometime ago. There used to be a "search software archive".

It hasn't yet been imported into the new site.

As mentioned it hasn't been imported yet and the reason is that the php script that I use or rather something imports the article 2-3 times per post. The OS2 Software article database has 3199 posted articles and after that I imported it I end up with 2000 extra postings... So I would like to solve that little issue before I import the articles.

A test import can be viewed here where I made 3 test imports:

Finally we found what the double posting error was.... hrm... seems that I have quite a few additional plugins added to Firefox and one of them, I would guess - FasterFox - are generating this little error. When trying running the php script directly from command line on the server this double posting didn't occur.

So this means that we have at least imported 3199 OS2 Software news articles. I will import the rest of the articles tonight.
