Title: Mac OS X Secretly Cripples Non-Apple Software
Post by: Saijin_Naib on 2008.02.29, 07:17:30
No one has commented on this? Sure, give Microsoft flak for every little detail, transgression, and hint of anything, but never, NEVER question the great Apple, for they truly are just. The shining white plastic path laid down by our messiah the great Jobs will lead us all to computing salvation, nay, to the salvation of our very downtrodden, empty souls.

>:(

I becry this apple fandom bullshit. If you are going to hate on one monopolistic empire, you must hate upon the other, more insidious evil empire, clad in shining white and brushed aluminum armor.

And what, pray tell, does this have to do with us and OS/2?

Who cares about Mac OS X and Windows?  Aren't we here to talk about OS/2?

(My wife owns a MacBook.  Great computer, rock solid and runs great.  No "fandom bullsh*t" in our house-we just use what works.)

^ It was on the newsfeed, and as such, I felt the need to comment upon it.

As for "just using what works", thats why I have a computer I built, an eMachines (running since 1999), and a Compaq Presario (running since 1996). All were at one point running Win2K Pro, two now Xp Pro SP2, the laptop WinME. My desktop duals XP and eCS.

Truthfully, I will talk about whatever I wish, you are no moderator, and if you have issue with what shows in the Newsfeed, I suggest you take it up with one of the site's administrators, not myself.

The original report by the person who noticed that Safari used an undocumented API is here:

The page also includes a comment by a member of the WebKit team. (Safari uses an open source web browser engine called WebKit.)
