It would be cool if this could work with eCS(?). It would be neat to see if the C-Side program would work with it. 8) (assuming one could get it to work with eCS. ;D

Hi BigWarpGuy
I do not have need of the disc printing capabilities of such a device myself - my printer, Canon PIXMA iP4000, already has cd/dvd printing capability - but I thought I'd be nosy :-)
Looks like it is Mac/Windows drivers only... wonder if the Mac drivers include a PPD file - that could possibly be used with CUPS for eCS(OS/2).
Having a nosy around the Support pages I found a linux driver package, called Labelwriter, to work with CUPS https://global.dymo.com/enUS/RNW/RNW.html?p=https://dymo.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/dymo.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=101&p_sid=-BZIopbj&p_accessibility=0&p_redirect=&p_li=&p_pv=2.201&p_cv=&p_prods=200,201&p_cats=p_sp=cF9zZWFyY2hfdGV4dD0mcF9zZWFyY2hfdHlwZT1hbnN3ZXJzLnNlYXJjaF9ubCZwX3NvcnRfYnk9&p_topview=1#dp
I'm not going to say "Yes, it will work" but I suspect that it would be possible - might need a little help from Paul, the CUPS porter/developer though.

Pete
I have a Dymo LabelWriter in the company. Forgot the exact model name.
However, just for curiosity, I plugged it into a OS/2 machine and it is not
even recognized by the USB base drivers !
Hi Rudi
Could that be due to the level of the USB drivers installed or the configuration?
Does USB Resource Manager or USBDock show the printer attached?
Regards
Pete
Hi Pete,
I run the latest USB drivers and the device is not seen at all. Just as if you have
nothing plugged in. However, the LED on the front side turns from red to green,
when attached to the port. BTW, it's a LabelWriter 320.
The funny thing is: I did the same test with a LabelWriter Duo and this device is
recognized. So probably not all Dymo's have a problem with OS/2 in general.
