Title: D-Link DWA-642
Post by: Dennis on 2007.05.17, 21:09:00
Hi!
I decided to go wireless with my laptop, so I bought a D-Link DWA-642. Of course, it only comes with drivers for windoze.
   1. Do I need drivers for eCS 1.2?
   2. If I need drivers, where do I find them?
   3. Are there any install problems I should know about?
   4. Did I get the right adapter?  If not, which one should I trade it in for?

As always, thank you in advance for your help.

Dennis

I really don't know if it is supported. I guess it is a pccard?

The basic rule, I guess, is to not buy anything that you don't know is supported. www.os2warp.be has a hardware compatible list, as well as www.ecomstation.ru has. You can also check up genmac wrapper drivers at www.netlabs.org. Via www.os2warp.be you also reach Chuck McKinnis nicpak pages. Hope it helps you!
