Title: Building Firefox 3.7
Post by: Saijin_Naib on 2009.12.23, 04:03:17
I have followed the instructions on https://developer.mozilla.org/en/OS/2_Build_Prerequisites and set up the build environment as best as I can. I've substituted GCC 4.4 from Paul as opposed to GCC 3.3.5.

I am currently missing os2tk45. If anyone has the latest one (From eCS 2.0 RC7) that'd be excellent. I'd really like to have an up to date build of Firefox 3.7 as I've found it to be even faster than Chrome on my Windows and Linux machines (tested using PeaceKeeper).

Nevermind. It has been brought to my attention by Marty Amodeo that some of the packages listed on the Warpzilla Build Instructions page are out of date or not complete so even if by some miracle I set up my environment right, nothing would build anyway.

Fantastic.

Well, if you still need it, let me know. I know it comes with WSeB and I have a buncha copies.

I got it from Marty. Apparently the glib package on the Mozilla Build instructions page is A) far outdated & B) missing a lot of .h files needed to compile an executable. I've not contacted the person who just made the 3.5.6 build, but I may do so and ask him to send me a zip or WPI of his build environment so I can try my hand at 3.7.

Or, maybe I'll just beg & plead with him to build 3.7 out of holiday spirit :P
