Title: Password Protection for a directory--How to?
Post by: klipp on 2011.03.30, 02:43:53
I need to password protect a directory on my web site. I've tried several programs that are available on Free JavaScripts and can't make any of them work.
I'm starting to "Smell a Rat"! Either I'm dumber than I give myself credit for being or possibly my My web site host "Go Daddy" prevents using javascript!
Does anybody have a solution that even I can make work?

Thanks for any ideas.

Try the first two links returned here... they go into explanations about it:

Hey RobertM, Thanks very much. Your info got me on the road to success-- Turns out it was just a matter of upgrading to a different Go Daddy server at no additional cost.

btw, Have you ever heard of a program called Jacq Artist for OS/2? I'm told by a client of mine it came out of Germany and uses a "Dongle" off the paralel port. He wants to know if it will work with eCS. I've been unable to find any info on that particular software.

Thanks again for the help.
