I'd like to thank the developer(s) of Java for OS/2 and eCS. There is a lot of work done so far. Far more valuable than those already made donations. As a side effekt the odin-API is become more and more solid. So Please continue your work - and to the other readers of this message: please continue to donate.

.. ah, thats why the amous.sys hangs are back with the latest acpi. The mouse pointer does not react somtimes, when heavy data traffic runs through network card. Hardware Manager tells me they run on the same IRQ. According to your statement, eitehr the amouse.sys or the r6169 are defect.

... same behaviour here. Everything works well on beta2.

My smplayer.ini definition:
mplayer_bin=c:\\programs\\mplayer\\mplayer.exe

(a single backslash in ini-file was not recognized by smplayer.exe)

Best regards

.. the last change was done 9 months ago. The initial work of diver was continued only a short time. Obviously we have too less funding and too less developers....

...try http://jalbum.net/download/jAlbum9.1.3.zip. The installer does not work (see tickets in http://svn.netlabs.org/java/report).
Any further bugs of java please create a ticket there.

... maybe it is possible to use the win32 backend instead of the XWindows backend. dmik is actually using the odin32 library for compiling Java. As far as i understood there were a lot of changes and adjustments to odin32, especially headerfiles are improved to work with gcc. So its worth a try....

...generally a good idea to shift money from "dead" bounties to real projects. But be careful, maybe some developers have already spent some efforts in projects. So we have to ask the donators and define some time limit for appeal before we shift money to other projects.

It may be possible to build a current version of the GNU Fortran compiler - let me know if you're interested and I could see if it builds.
... well, i have done this in former times for EMX environment. Worked very well for a mechanical dynamic simulation program. AFAIK GNUFortran is a Fortran77 +some f90 extensions compiler.
Porting was not a big issue at that time, so i suppose with your build environment it is even more easy today...

I understand all of the above - but will Mensys commit the Odin updates to SVN so that others can use these improvements for possibly porting other applications?
... something which is highly appreciated! Actually i am fiddling around with cvs code of odin as well as wine-sources. Very frustrating, because you know that there is more actual code without access for the public.

@Roderick: It is doubtful that anyone will give a commitment without having access to the latest odin/innowin-code.

QuotePorting awt is then completely different story, and quite unlikely to be successful (by me) unless there is some sort of xlib between awt and pm.  However, someone familiar with pm programming may be able to make use of the windows code.
.. well, if everything else compiles soomthly on os/2, I'd try pmwinx.dll's win32 api. Supposedly openjdk has a win32 interface for windows-platform.

...same behavior here with XP and Ubuntu 8.xx. Seems like an OS/2-eCS specific problem.

Hi Paul,

just wondering about your code changes. Do you have any changes for vbox/vbox/src/libs/ to compile xerces and xalan?
