Hardware / Windows based ATM's
2012.06.21, 20:48:16
I see this to often these days. Not a good look is it. ATM near corner of Cambridge and Jersey St's in Wembley, Western Australia.
Went back and took some photos of this one lastnight while I was walking the dogs. Normally I don't bother but this time I thought I'd make the effort.

I can never seem to make the images stick the same when ever I link them, so have added as attachments.

I see something like this about every 2-3 months. The older OS/2 based NCR 56xx models I only ever saw an OS/2 screen once (ignoring the boot screens when I use to service them).

Hello everyone,

We as a community have limited resources, and limited users, and such we should ALL play nicely with each other in the playground.
We as a community cannot afford to lose anyone, and forums like this one on OS2World.com are a life line to both new and old users.

If your having a bad day, DON'T POST, simple really.

Remember, this is a public forum, what you post is viewable to everyone, and people will judge, and remember you by what you post.

So be nice to each other in the playground otherwise you maybe asked to leave.
Actually, chances are you will simply be removed, then we will tell you.

Cheers

"A group of fraudsters has been arrested in Yakutsk and Moscow for allegedly compromising all the ATMs in the city of Yakutsk — population: around 210,000 — in the Republic of Yakutia in the Russian Federation. Three of the men formed the actual criminal group, and the fourth — a Moscow-based malware developer — was 'subcontracted' by them and received 100,000 rubles (some $3200) to develop a custom ATM virus with which they would infect the devices."

Been looking around and there is no mention if these are Windy, OS/2, or the older philips ATM's etc.

I'm interested as I use to service ATM's as well :-)

Hi Everyone,

Australia is currently having "The Great Australian Internet Blackout", or at least the websites
that think it matters enough to do so are :-)

See http://www.internetblackout.com.au/ for more information.

In the meantime, as I haven't cleaned the bomb shelter that hosts my server for almost 10 years, I though that now would be a good time to clean and re organise my accumulated junk, as well as do some serious spring cleaning, fill the rubbish bins up, strip and clean the server as well as check the fans etc.

So os2site.com is offline while I do all this, all you will see is a black screen BUT I will bring it up once I have finished, might even give it another coat of paint, the room, not the server.

I expect this to only take about a day, unless I drop something I shouldn't ;-)

Cheers
