Networking / Re: GEN MAC news?

I'm assuming by 'rethinking' genmac, onlineuser2 meant things like multimac.

You are right.

I am only a simply end user. I know the situation, from our forum. I still remain disposable for outer support (at least some pennies), as I cannot do anything else (not able unfortunately) .

We are pointing out a problem which must be solved, by a workaround or a real solution.

I wonder what  Mensys or Ecomstation are thinking about (not solving the problem will make useless all their other great work...).

Not too exited, only dancing for rain!

Updating or rethinking genmac is necessary.
Your post means that it is possible to begin with a close survey,
waiting for... rainy days

thanks for your great work

Great news from Paul Smedley!
Isn't it going to rain?

Why not thinking of some kind of community support, like java or Qt?

It may be I'll ask him for, but it should be fine having it for everybody.
I suppose the port is not complete, or with some final touches to be added.
I am going to check Paul's site, plenty of so good work, over and over again waiting for it.
Thanks Paul!

In short, someting like that: usb wireless key to connect to wireless thelephone line to use internet service (paying by hour connection or amount of traffic).
Something like that: http://www.vodafone-mobilephones.com/phone-reviews/vodafone-usb-modem-stick.htm

I thing there are some differentt spcs about these type of device.
As I saw around they are spread used, but, as till now I was not in need of it, I never wonder about.
May it be that os/2 ecs will use some kind of them? Which?
Thanks

Last minute news....
I just tried to add-on in Firefox EPUBReader release 1.4.1.0 (February 16, 2011) https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/epubreader/
Tested on firefox 3.5.7.
It installs in few moments and at a first glance it works very fine.
So we have a way to read epub books friendly and easy and manage ebook dowloads from inside Firefox (EPub Catalog).
However, it is interesting to have news and infos about other epub reader apps and let them be known better.

All the best

Is there a way to read epub books by os/2 - EComStation?
Is there a way to plug Epubreader in Firefox ?
Other solutions?
Forthcoming?

Onlineuser2

PS: May it be that Scribus create epub format texts. If so, it will be able to read epub books too, but I am asking about a simple reading app.
thanks

Programming / QT sold by Nokia?
2011.03.22, 23:08:16
Web news report Nokia is selling QT related commercial licensing and services business, meanwhile keeping qt development as open source project.  Did I understand well? What about? Which future for QT?  Will this concern os/2 world?
