Well I hope this information will help many I had these freezes and for the life of me I could not figure it out. Well it occurred to me that I was using a Firefox skin and that it locked up every time I used Firefox regardless of the version.Well it turns out that I went back to the default Firefox theme and dropped the skin I was using for Firefox. And I have not had one lockup since.

Many of us would. That is to be sure. But for some reason OS/2 and eCS have not drawn the programmers that Linux seems to have drawn into it's ranks. But most of us vertern users have learned to be careful what you purchase. there have been suggested projects to get printer drivers but I think the Snap disaster fouled things up in the whole market for eCS.

AS far as the video drivers go the difference may be the monitor verses the LCD screen of your laptop. But I suggest that if you are going to install Widows XP you put it on the first partition. There are many apps that require it on C: to install. Other wise it and eCS for that matter can inhabit logical drives.
