Download the OS/2-eCS version of Character Map from the Russian Developer "GlassMan".

You should then be able to display the barcodes that you intend to print and where they're positioned in the codepages.

Please do show us what your the actual barcode look like in that applicaiton as well.
A file of 252Mb is a bit much to fetch just like that for (a) font(s)?!.

Does your software use the VIO (Character mode) view or perhaps a GUI? Your Command Line view/edit indicate just that.

VIO use a different code page here, 850 compared to Win GUI applications 1252.
You may experience something similar, 866 compared to Win GUI applications 1251.

Change the encoding from "Unicode" to e.g. "DOS: American" or "DOS: Cyrillic" (Dropdown below the characters) to see the available bar codes and their position if they differ and may explain why you see the problems.

You don't have those problems if you use OS/2-eComStation as the code pages usually are the same throughout both GUI and VIO.

Move your "Flash 10" files from the plugins folder so that FF doesn't load it.

Draw something (line, font, square or...) into a hps, then grab it and use the resulting bitmap.

You can also use:

RMVIEW | MORE

so you have to press enter between every "page" that appear.

Hello,

You can borrow some code from "Duplicate files on your computer?" when you want to store the information and connect to a database.

Just create the database and add the ODBC connection to the database in the ODBC Manager and then call it from rexx.
1. Connect
2. Command
3. Disconnect

rxODBC and rexxSQL is quite similar though rxODBC doesn't work with DrDialog yet (Haven't figured out how to make it load odbc.dll dynamically when restricted by DrDialog).

It's quite straight forward to work with databases with rexx. UnixODBC include it in the installation so it's available right away.

CanoScan LiDE 25 work great up to 800DPI with Tame/2 though it's not listed to be supported.
Paul built a version of Sane that include it in the list.

I guess we 3 are the only ones left who still care enough to want this to happen. I guess I'll be going with option 2 & try to do a full rewrite. Performance still won't be as good, without proper agp support. Also, I think I'll focus on getting a software render up & running before I push on to hardware. The hardware driver for the new ddk will probably be something low like maybe a matrox 450 or something like that or maybe a SiS 6326.

Ohh, no, you're not the last 3 people on the planet left.  ;D
AGP? PCI-E that we use now then?
_______

A driver with hardware acceleration tied to some of the newer OGL ES or ... be nice.
Would WarpOverlay goes OpenGL be something?

I would also say DVD-Toys as it provide good functionality combined with a well integrated GUI interface that is easy to understand and work with for CD/DVD related tasks.

Hello,

I tought about asking them to open OD 2.0 up as well the other night... but to be honest, I'm a bit interested to peek at some of the code for educational purpose to understand how to code/use SOM and what one can do with the wps.

I guess there are parts of OD (M$ RTF and Word doc v6, Spreadsheet interpreters etc.) that they may not have the rights to "give away", but I guess I can live with such things. Would be neat if we could get a light weight native version of the OO.org engine perhaps as a Lucide plugin instead to view various file formats.

Do ask him...

If someone else come up with the "plain" DLL, great, then I can write the REXX DLL stuff  :)

Hello,

I had similar problems... due to I opened many tabs and restored them after every restart of the web browser. I think it caused constant writes to sessionstore.js, so you may try to alter the setting for how often it should write to sessionstore.js and see if it helps you.

Beware of the warning, I'm not responsible if you change some setting that cause you problems. It your own fault!

You can try the following:
Entry field: Address bar
Type: about:config
Read the text and confirm that you take responsibility for the problems you may cause as you change settings.
Button: I promise, I will be careful!
Entryfiled: Filter:
Type: sessionstore
Row: browser.sessionstore.interval
Doubleclick: browser.sessionstore.interval
Change to: 30000 (equals 30 seconds = 30 000 milliseconds)

You may also try to see if a lower value for e.g. browser.sessionstore.max_tabs_undo improve performance.

Read more about sesstionstore

Background

Firefox 2.0 introduces a built-in Session Restore feature, allowing the user to continue browsing from where they left off if browser restarts. This preference controls how often information about the current session is saved to the profile.

Possible values and their effects

A positive integer indicating the number of milliseconds between session saving operations. (Default is 10000, or 10 seconds)

Hello,

From what I read ("ANSI-C") it looks like it should compile on OS/2.
Not sure about the effort involved here... and which flavor of compiler to use preferrably.

Anyway, even if this works, it would "only" give us a DLL useable from C... right?
What would it take to create a rexx-to-HaruDLL "wrapper"... or a rexx-callable variant of the HaruDLL?

A C-dll can be used by other programming languages as well as it doesn't add mangled function names or vendor specific magic like C++ can.

We can write it as a wrapper dll or build it into the dll itself next to the exported functions visible to the user.

No, you don't have to install anything extra to use it, but do notice that you need the executable scanimage (from TAME/2) installed and functional, available in the same folder to make the example work.

Please do try the following example from "OS/2 Procedures language 2/REXX" help instead.

Cut & paste:
Code: [Select]
/*                                                                */
/*        push/pull WITHOUT multiprogramming support         */
/*                                                                */
push date() time()          /* push date and time            */
do 1000                     /* lets pass some time           */
  nop                       /* doing nothing                 */
end                         /* end of loop                   */
pull a b .                  /* pull them                     */
say 'Pushed at ' a b ', Pulled at ' date()
time() /* say now and then */

/*                                                                    */
/*              push/pull WITH multiprogramming support               */
/*            (no error recovery, or unsupported env tests            */
/*                                                                    */
newq = RXQUEUE('Create')    /* create a unique queue           */
oq = RXQUEUE('Set',newq)    /* establish new queue             */
push date() time()          /* push date and time              */
do 1000                     /* lets spend some time            */
  nop                       /* doing nothing                   */
end                         /* end of loop                     */
pull a b .                  /* get pushed info                 */
say 'Pushed at ' a b ', Pulled at ' date() time() /* tell user     */
call RXQUEUE 'Delete',newq         /* destroy unique queue created  */
call RXQUEUE 'Set',oq         /* reset to default queue (not required) */

Hello,

PDFLib seem to at least partially support Watcom... but could someone help me a bit to get it to compile.
And as always with Linux centric software, it's dependable on libraries that one probably has to compile and not reuse what's already there.

Would like if someone would have a moment and help me look at that as well.
