Really, can you provide details...Psoidon, it truly must have been an adventure and I am sorry to hear the combined size of drives addressed other than the primary active drive is so small, as you pointed out so succintly -==- do you have USB working now? Why TWinDoze Server 08, why not IBM http server with websphere for e-biz? or are you just using it as an app server? http://shop.serenityvirtual.com/cgi-bin/db2www/svs_art2.d2w/report?catname=SVISTA here is a link where you can get the retail version; there is a d.l. for this 04 version too but I could never get it to work...isnt there a better way to go for OS/2 and TwindoZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz_Virtualization?

Widget Workshop: The Mad Scientist's Laboratory is not on my list, nor did i know it was for OS/2. OS/2 has a more limited/specialized following now but it is great the games are still around for us kids that refuse to grow up. Just think about this: NO XBOX 360 to plug into. Speaking of plugin in I have IBM Home Director for sale, its a plug and go network using the home AC outlets, comes with CD but I do think that it was not marketed for OS/2, this is the WIN95 version in IBM original Blue retail box. PM for more details on this offering...offered up until it gets taken to swap shop-or eapage.com. I cant deal with ebay, its gotten too big for its britches...or so I am told by many other members... :( thx

"POWER" by Brad Templeton is now up for grabs, this is a novel app by an early dev online,
here is a link to this programs author: Brad Templeton on Wiki... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brad_Templeton. this is for CBM C64 and has an extra performance CMOS chip that comes with it. If you ever took apart the old VIC20 or a C=64, you will be familiar with this type of chip.

I had a goofey gateway with xp home on it OEM and only half a gigaram. At the release of Vista in Jan 07, to the general public that is, I got this stupid idea. Why not "upgrade" this poor thing to Vista Home Basic just to get up with technology as they say. From there, a year had passed and since it was doing ok and I needed a change, I upgraded again, this time to the version with media center built in: Vista Home Premium ...bad idea as it needs more mem to keep all its hungiry "services" happy. So getting to the point, I tried to migrate back to XP pro...that also was a bad idea since doing this meant that ACPI became a factor in the BIOS. So I migrated to  a form of LINUX, as in PCLINUXOS, using GRUB. Once I got rid of the problem with the boot loader and MBA it was simple to remove everything with a partition program and reset the BIOS. Now I have  the loader seeing the hard drive again and on and on. XP PRO is nice compared to Vista and now I can see first hand why so many poeple go backwards in their migration, too bad we can't all just migrate totally away from MS esp when linux will run on so small a foot print with little memory;.

getting back to smart anything, a smart chip in the brain could monitor when you are having a fit over Vista and near stroking out as the case may be, subsequent releases of MicroSoft build 6000 is when the gamble got rough as MS is not "soft" on its competion and Vista did not take off like Win95. NEXT we'll see what develops as MS now has a big stake in hardware more than ever, needing desparately to nudge itself into gamer and server arenas whilst getting control of the mobo market one way or another.

???Vista may be staggering along and XP Pro may be steady and ongoing in spite of Vista -as the release of x86-64 prompted many to reconsider changing their environment and moving upstream to Vista OS. Up it all is what I have to saw, since any MS code stinging along from upper slovenia has not been migrated into an environment friendly to home PC users once you remove the Aero-blitz, so as we move on we see Vista in decline hopefully, even as users hang on to XP. XP is not any better than Win2K and it still hangs and spits out all kinds of weirded out memory and other conflix overflows/loads, the GUI may be pretty but the code is rather ugly...even with itanium...OS2 dies and look what we get. I run Sun Solaris as an alternative to OS/2, just to stay away from Hackers...

whilst going green, from the Interop blog on www.informationweek.com, D. Berlind said - quote: "Two key takeaways for me were (1) many so-called "green" remedies have a dark enough side to them that they may not be as green as we think they are, and (2) it may take another 15 or 20 years before we have it all sorted out. It's not as bad as it sounds, but ..." goin green is just a propaganda tool used by corps [esp the big MS] to inhance their image of concern and understanding of community affairs in appearing involved...just like when we say we are sorry only because we say we are...

...a little confusing as it is/can be on this thread, what fixpacks were generated before the end of '05, ie the end of the product line: fp15, 16 or? AND with that Event [ and the state of the fixpack releases being what they in effect accomplished ] what is the point of buying eCS when its a clone and on the welcome screen it doesnt say OS/2 anything... ???

as members we are all important, even though oure point of veiw is protracted  and somewhat tainted by what others inject here and there, i gets watered down, the point that is, but that is part of the problem, it all lends itself to the solution, it being IT of course...Information is the solvent that fuels the mind, strike a matche to it once and awhile and as it all appears to go up in flames, someone else is building a new furnace.

I was having the same problem basically, thx again  ROB! :o

this is all starting to sound like
"soilant green", the weird movie from the 60's...
or how 'bout "the day of the trippids" where everybody dies... maybe...hmmmm?
But SAB I do like the sound of "OS/2 World Federation" but since we
are talking as regards dealing in a rareified commodity, a very toxic substance in
some cases, safegaurding the future of ALL humankind: there fore I reiterate with the slogan
for our cause as the "OS/2 InterGalacticWorlds Foundation" after all, shouldn't all the blind
MS monkeys be considered and converted in the Uni open source projuect > > >:...  Grin Grin Grinl559
