"UIQ 3.x port of DOSBox, open source DOS and x86 emulator. This version has been ported by our Discussion forum user tomaswoj from the S60 version by kolijoco.
You can use the emulator to run DOS, DOS games, and even Windows 3.1, Windows 95 or one of the small Linux distros. "

I wonder... is it possible to run any flavour of early OS/2 under DOSBox, Warp3 and 4 wich I used for sure can not, but what is with 1.x and 2.x ?
Anyone have some tip ?

Hi cyber,

I just started up an ancient computer I have here with OS/2 v1.3.01 on it and had a look.  Since it could be installed on a FAT or HPFS partition - I used HPFS - and uses standard VGA video, I expect you may be able to run it in DOSBox full screen mode.

All I can say is 'try and see'.

As an added bit of information I've just checked the floppies - all good - and made images of them.

Well, two things doesn't go easy  :-\... goting to work DOSBox on my smartphone, and finding OS/2 2.xx or 1.xx.
Anyway, as I newer tried... what is in OS/2 1.xx, does it have REXX (or can have)?

DOSBOX emulates a version of DOS.

While Windows 3.1 runs on top of DOS, OS/2 does not, so it won't run in a DOS box.

You should note that OS/2 won't boot in an OS/2 DOSVM (ie DOS from Drive A:) either.

Aha! Finaly someone informed. I'm sure that OS/2 versions 3 and 4 no way can be run under DOSbox, but I was hope that some old ones incarnation could. Note that is reported that this DOS and x86 emulator beside Win3 and Win95 made some Linux distros work ?

What would be handy would be to be able to run a Linux distro under the OS/2 VDOS.  If the DOS from Drive A: could be setup to boot a Linux image file instead of DOS that could be interesting.  Even having to switch to a full screen session would be OK if it were possible.

Finaly I've got working DosBox emulator under my phone... Dos and Win16 work.
Now to try to unpack those old dsk images on virtual floppy and transfer on to DosBox to run install. :)
