Hi

I was wondering something I can not find on eComStation 2.0 RCx.

On XWorkplace there was the possibility to add a "Module" tab on the properties of a file. That helps me a lot on the .sys files to see the release version. (see attached picture to understand what Im talking about).

But I can not found how to do the same on eCS.

Anybody can give me a pointer ?

Thanks.

Maybe the simple answer is to un-install what is there and install the full xWorkplace package.

How about this instead:

I move that Serenity/Mensys integrate this feature into the eWorkplace distribution.

Hi

I'm using xWP108 (only very recently installed) and do not see either Resources or Modules pages - where do I turn those pages on?

Hi

On Xworkplace to turn that tab on go to "System Setup -> Xworkplace Setup"
On the Features tab under "General Features" select "Replace "File" and "Details" page".

Here it is an screenshot.

Hi Martin

Thanks for the reply.

On checking I find I already have that option checked in Xworkplace Setup but it does not display those pages - this applies to 2 systems here using xwp108.

The hint for that option does not suggest it does the job either...

I'm running xwp108 but for .sys files I don't have modules or resources but do for exe files.  The only thing I see that turns it on or off for certain is xworkplace setup - Features - setup xworkplace classes - xwpprogramfile.  That has to be checked.

On my system, it seems like some .sys files have the module/resources tabs and some don't. The deciding factor is if they are marked as Type=Executable and Class=XWPProgramFile, then the tabs show. Strangely, on my system the file Martin shows with the tabs (KBDBASE.SYS) is marked as Type=Plain Text, so no tabs. It was easy enough to change and get the tabs back, but now the question is why are some .sys files marked correctly and others not? I can see that some .sys files ARE text (like CONFIG.SYS) though...
