At one of the Warpstock Americas, there was one mentioned a wifi device that was portable, connected to the ethernet port and was powered by the usb port. I am looking on the internet but totally forgot what it was called. Any help given will be appreciated. What was it called? ??? It would be easier than trying to get my wifi pc card working.    8)

BWG,

Maybe you are thinking of a WiFi Game Adapter that plugs into your ethernet port? This will allow anything to connect to your wireless hub, as long as it has an ethernet port.

I use a Asus WL-330g, configured as wireless bridge. It Works great.

It was a little device that connects to the network port and powered by an usb connector. It allowed one to have wifi connection without having to use special drivers. It was - supposedly -easier to use than a wifi pc card. I have a wifi pc card but having problems getting it the ports to register on boot up (another post covering this).  8)

At the Warpstock America, there was a lecture on wifi and eCS. They used it to connect (or try to) to hotels wifi network. They also had a wifi router in the room. I could not get my pc card to work. This was before I purchased the wifi card that is in the T23 (slot on bottom of T23 for it).  8)

Are you looking for D-LINK DWL-G730AP ?

There is also a similar poduct by ASUS (with something less, as I remember), which was tested and described in some os/2 enzine (I don't remember at the moment).

Both are configurable by browser

They work as Access point, or Client, or router.

I also used the link to the old forum and found the post (after reading your reply).

I have received the D-Link DWL-G730AP that I ordered. It is a wireless pocket router/ap. The instructions manual shows how to set it up using ones browser. It will be nice to have wifi with my eComStation Thinkpad T23.  8)
