You know, I can't keep coming back for help, but there is one issue that has been puzzling me since I reinstalled OS/2 Warp 4.

For quite a while, I been playing around with the OS/2 VM and all of a sudden, the virtual machine stops responding off and on and I have to hit the right CTRL key+DELETE (CTRL-ALT-DELETE) to reboot.

When I reboot and look at the System Error Logs, I found a bunch of errors referencing to PMWP.DLL (the file required to load the WorkPlace Shell). I installed WatchCat 2.1 (shareware), programmed the CTRL+X key to terminate processes that have stopped responding and the latest incident involved after unzipping files using WarpZip causing the WorkPlace Shell (WPS) to hang hard to a point where the clock no longer moves and pressing CTRL+X does not even work.

Here's a screenshot of what the logs look like so far: http://img40.imageshack.us/img40/710/pmwpsyslog.png

Opening up the recent SYSLOG entry (Entry 138) gives the following details:

The errors have been occurring since I installed FixPack 15 and logs date back to the 29th of April.

Is there any way to fix the gremlins in PMWP.DLL and PMSHELL.EXE that have been causing the Workplace Shell to hang hard or is this normal?

I've been looking for answers on how to isolate the problem via Google and it hasn't been much of a help. I even replaced the PMWP.DLL file with a newer one from 23 July 2002, but I still don't know if it's going to fix the problem or not. The PMWP.DLL file that was included in FP15 was dated 15 November 2000.

Should I also update the SYSLOGPM.EXE files as there are still bugs in the file that causes the deletion date and time to not format correctly? If you want more info about this, I can explain.
