So, my question is: What is your favorite/most used Firefox Add-ons, running on OS/2 or eCS firefox of course ;)

Mines are:
- Fireftp
- Chatzilla
- Download StatusBar
Martín Itúrbide
OS2World.com NewsMaster
Open Source Advocate

Those I consider essential.

- Adblock +
- Auto copy
- British english dictionary
- Download helper (for video)
- Flash block
- NoScript
- Old location bar
- PDF Download
- Prefbar

Trying to use firefox without them is a complete PITA.

- TabMixPlus

Nice-to-have add-ons:
- Forecastfox Weather
- gui:config
- MafiaaFire Redirector
- ServerSpy
- Show MyIP
- Split Panel
- User Agent Switcher
- View Cookies

Hi All

Is this discussion limited to Firefox or can a Seamonkey user join in?  :-)

My currently installed extensions are

- British english dictionary
- FlashBlock (some may consider this a necessity - I do)
-PasteEmail
-QuoteColors
-SavedPasswordEditor
-ShowIP
-UserAgentSwitcher

Extensions I will install if they ever work with Seamonkey again:-

-FireFTP
-TabX

This page has download links to modified version for SeaMonkey:

  http://xsidebar.mozdev.org/modifiedmisc.html

These add-ons work without having xsidebar installed.

I've found FireFTP there and it works for the newest SeaMonkey. :-) The only
problem is that I can't get auto-open for FTP links on doubleclick to work here,
but opening them via context menu works.

Not yet listed -- Better Privacy to delete (Flash) LSOs upon browser exit, and Fireshot for screen captures.  Otherwise, Adblock+ and DownloadHelper are most welcome.

On non-eCS (i.e. Laptop/Vista) -- IE Tab+ calls the I.E. engine to load within that specific tab for those websites who still think the Borg of Redmond personifies open-source & global standards.  Question:  Does anybody still have a win31 I.E. on eCS for redmond-inspired scenarios?

Hi aschn

Thanks, I had not checked for an updated FireFTP for a few days.

Now installed and running  :-)

Have you tried checking the FireFTP Options -> Interface ->Configure FTP links in Firefox to automatically use FireFTP? - seems to work here OK  :-)

Now if only someone would update TabX - puts the (close) X on each open tab - although I seem to recall reading somewhere that the code was going to be built into Firefox and Seamonkey at some point.

Just initially, not on my last tests, nor with a new profile.
Thanks for the info, I'll try again.

BTW: There are several heavy problems with my profile, all caused
by add-ons, so I have to switch over to a new one in the next time.
If it wouldn't take that much time ...

Having been pointed to the latest FireFTP for Seamonkey that is now installed and working fine.

I've also been pointed to SeaTabX as a replacement for TabX (puts a Close button on every tab) http://tom-cat.com/mozilla/extensions.html#seatabx
