Here are three very useful Blogs in alphabetical order...

Blog #1 - Cris' eCS Tips'n'Tricks:
http://ecstnt.blogspot.com/

Blog #2 - Metztli Information Technology weblog:
http://www.metztli-it.com/blog/

Blog #3 - The OS2Diary:
http://os2advocacy.blogspot.com/

I for one, do not take the efforts of these blogs for granted, and am appreciative of the "under the hood" creativity enhancing what has always been a hallmark of the OS/2 kernel and now the eComStation platform - flexibility and configuration.

P.S.:  El Vato's OS/2 Forum "b2evolution blog software" thread was my impetus to get this going.

Evidently, Terry, I also appreciate your kind reference.  As an aside, less than a couple of days ago (from this specific time), I posted the last of my IBM Lotus Symphony 1 how-to installation web log post relating to 64-bit Ubuntu and 64-bit Debian.

As it may be known, the IBM Lotus Symphony GA 1 (general availability) is officially supported only on Red Hat and SuSE GNU/Linux distributions.  Although Symphony 1 can be installed on 32-bit architectures or AMD64 (x86-64) in 32-bit legacy mode, Symphony 1 would not even install into 64-bit Debian on which 64-bit Ubuntu operating system is based.

Although Symphony is a no-charge download, we (like IBM does) offer fee-based support for Symphony 1 deployments for those organization that require the service.  Hence I realized that I had to "play" with the installation of IBM Lotus office productivity suite under 64-bit Debian/Ubuntu.  The result is the posted blog that I mentioned.  Little did I know that 32 and 64-bit Ubuntu users  would find the blogs useful --and more interesting, even the traditionally tech-savvy Debian users would do as well.

IBM will support Symphony on Ubuntu in the near future --and possibly another more knowledgeable Debian/Ubuntu user will come up with an elegant installation routine based on my information.   Notwithstanding this hack, dirty and rough as it may be, first was accomplished by an OS/2 user who learned Unix/Linux from the OS/2 integrating platform using the EMX runtime.  :)  ...and who avoided the addiction to the proprietary OS.

And, possibly coming some time in the future will be.... The IBM Lotus Symphony 1.0 running on THE CASSINI OPERATING SYSTEM (OS/2-eCS-VOYAGER based).

Watch out in the coming months for the announcements.  ;D ::) ;D

Best regards.
