Hey all,

There's an article on Slashdot about "Hardware based video acceleration comes to Linux"

http://tech.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=08/07/11/1210224

So... I was wondering how this might be beneficial to eComStation...

One neat thing is, nVidia chipset support is mentioned - which seems to be where eComStation drags the most...

I liked the qoute that it is good news for anyone trying to play HD content on a processor more then 6 years old.. it is funny because in XP/Vista you cannot play HD on some processors currently..
