This is just overkill !  Thank You very much CDRWSel.

My opinion, as I often use other OS'es (linux'N'win), is that they now can only be envy.  8)

Looks very fine.

If Paul has no time to check the error in ID3V2 try to contact another developer for this small program.

Alpha build with limited function sent to Cyber... Waiting news from him.

I'm pretty sure, "Reply #109 on: 2010.05.21, 00:24:18 »"  -- is 24 minutes past midnight.

Hi!

Now, I tried enabling the pipe function (rxu.dll required) which wasn't under previous build and using already tested code.

Here is an alpha build (with pipe) with surely some bugs !
Before previous build, it has:
- a STOP button !
- File in process is selected into the process list
- single file progress bar increment too (if a valid file duration is found or youi'll have to wait the time of the process)
- maps: enabled (default use first available audio stream but user can set other steam value after using "show description" from RMB on selected file
- processing list can have mixed audio files and/or directories and/or video files !
- etc...
- file to video conversion is disabled due to not mutch work done on it know

already exit:
- set user parameters (use user entry)
- define a private profile (from user entry)
etc...

If some of you are interested to test it and give feedback !

download link:
http // remydodin.levillage. org/ outils/ FFMPEGCA_ S-0_5_0.wpi  (remove any blanks and add the first ':')
This is a small WPI without all required additonnal package. For a full package with all required packages available on hobbes and added as is in they originally full archive version, you can use the same link + remove '_S' from the name

Updated 'S' package to 0.5.1
"FFMPEG_S-0_5_1.wpi"

0.5.1 - Added option to auto create sub directories under target directory using last sub-dir from input directory (not for files)
     - minor cosmetic changes...

First impression from those having tested it ?
Suggestions on current working part ?

Cheers/2

I have suggestion; I believe that is possible without to many trouble to got info about size of output files direct in CE2MP3 GUI, it may be useful for situation where preparing tracks for external audio devices, which always are limited by space (256Mb, 512Mb, 1Gb,...), and CE2MP3 GUI is just like made-for-this purpose.   ;)

CDRWSel

Hi Cyber,

I think it should be possible to do it.
Take original file duration (if present) or file size with the corresponding bitrate and calculate output size with the selected new bitrate...
I have to think about how to do it to have it usefull !

abwillis

I have been trying to change the bitrate/sample rate of an mp3 and keep getting an error (tried posting before but os2world timed out on me):
SAY "  1308 +++                           pct ="   1308 +++                           pct
REX0041: Error 41 running E:\PROGRAMS\FFMPEGCA\FFMPEGCA.EXE, line 1308: Bad arithmetic conversion

The error comes up almost immediately.  I have tried a couple of mp3 files but they are all between 20M and 30M.  I've tried changing to various bit and sample rates.  ffmpeg runs for a bit at 99% CPU but only about 25% of the file is converted.  When this happens the cmd script that launches ffmpeg doesn't close and often becomes unclosable but not trying to close it never results in more work being done.

All of the ID3 tags even come across except the comment field.
