Hi,

Does anyone have any experience with this one:

INTEL X25-M SATA II SSD 160GB 2.5IN MLC HIGH PERFORMANCE IN (SSDSA2MH160G1C1)

Well, I think it should be same as the G.Skill Falcon MLC SSD I use but the G.Skill is much faster and less expensive. This one is very fast and works like a charm, one of the best SSD on the market.

I noticed your posts about the G. Skill Falcon MLC SSD but my usual reseller doesnt
sell that brand. They have the Intel and some other brands I've never heard about.
In theory the G. Skill SSD seems to be faster, but wonder if I would notice any
difference at all between the two in daily use.
Intel costs a lot more so perhaps I should investigate some more about the
availability of the G. Skill SSD.

MTRON SSDs are pretty good too, and fairly reasonable.

The store has some Mtron SSD's but a 128GB actually costs a lot
more than the Intel 160GB.

CDRWSel.......is this the one you've got:

G.SKILL FALCON 128GB SSD 2.5" SATA-II, Indilink controller, Hi-S MLC (FM-25S2S-128GBF1)

Found the one above available at a web shop, but they also sell one this one:

G.SKILL 128GB SSD 2.5" SATA-II, MLC (FM-25S2S-128GB)

The first one mentions Indilink controller and the 2nd says nothing about controller.
I am somewhat confused about this stuff so any help is welcome.

CDRWSel

Yes, it is the "FALCON" serie which is much faster (latest technology)
"G.SKILL FALCON 128GB SSD 2.5"

I ordered it here (of course FR) http://www.materiel.net/ctl/SSD/47533-Falcon_128_Go_S_ATA_II.html

Just bought the G. Skill 128 GB and replaced one of my 2 sata disk with it.
Have installed eCS2.0RC6a without any problems at all, chose adv. installation
on a JFS partition and Panorama.(No dos/win).
System: Intel quad core, 2G RAM, nVidia 9600
Phase 1: 04.44 min, Phase 2: 05.19 min.
Booting from boot manager to WPS now only takes 1 min. 40 sec.
Since I have not installed any other software yet, I have only tried Firefox and
it starts surprisingly fast.
So far it's a very nice experience.
