I was looking at the last binary available at netlabs and I was looking the use license. I don't know which kind of Open Source license was 4OS2 released.

Can anyone give me a pointer?

Latest is 3.05A (4os2_3.05A.zip) not rc4.

Neither could I. It's possible it's not a "standard" open source license, since the copyright statement is dated 2002.
