Could a developer port this tool to eCS and put into a friendly installable package ?

I suspect not easily at this time.  It requires GTK version 2.0.0+ library.  This is available for XFree86 but mostly requires using the EMX GCC prior to the Innotek ones to work correctly (later versions do not offer select() on something - can't recall what now).  I think Paul is working on a newer Xorg (XFree86 is now Xorg) and an updated GTK with it but would require hoblink or similar to be used.  While overall, QT4 seems to be better for us than GTK, it seems that most of the tools I've looked at needed GTK (far fewer than have already been ported using QT4 which is why I say it is better).

Have you tried yEd?

http://www.yworks.com/en/products_yed_about.html

It is a java application and it can even run in a browser online, but it needs java 1.6, but this will be also solved in the near future.

I have a look on yED. Very impressive tool but it has many missing nice circuits I'm looking for but all could be created. Hum ! very high priced license   :'(

Well, Dia is more conform about what I'm looking for.
Thanks

How about this Qt app:

You could request Elbert to port it for you :)

Very simple diagram tool. If Dia shapes are compatible, it could be a valid option
Thanks Joachim

what about Kivio from Koffice  (QT appl) ?
http://www.koffice.org/download/

(This one looks similar to Kivio mp which is now a shareware appl with very full functions or could this one be portes with author agrement ? I could be a very nice tool for eCS )

Cheers
