Is there a way to read epub books by os/2 - EComStation?
Is there a way to plug Epubreader in Firefox ?
Other solutions?
Forthcoming?

Onlineuser2

PS: May it be that Scribus create epub format texts. If so, it will be able to read epub books too, but I am asking about a simple reading app.
thanks

Last minute news....
I just tried to add-on in Firefox EPUBReader release 1.4.1.0 (February 16, 2011) https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/epubreader/
Tested on firefox 3.5.7.
It installs in few moments and at a first glance it works very fine.
So we have a way to read epub books friendly and easy and manage ebook dowloads from inside Firefox (EPub Catalog).
However, it is interesting to have news and infos about other epub reader apps and let them be known better.

All the best

If one of our brilliant people at porting QT4 apps was interested there is CoolReader 3 rhat reads epub as well as several other formats.

Silvan,  how do you do it?  I'm amazed at your output with software.  Sometimes I wish I could do the same but I satisfy myself with the hardware side of things.

Thanks for the work and effort.  It will be one less thing that I'll have to do in windows.

the exe starts, but i can't load any file so far. i'm investigating that in the next couple of days.

i will let you know when something is around for testing.

Hi Silvan,

Just to let you know it works with everything I've thrown at it so far.  The next things I will test is how it responds to changing the css in the epub working from the information given by the developer on the Mobileread forum.

Thanks for your work.  I only wish I knew more about porting then I'd have a go at the Atheros AR8030 gigabit lan driver that's on several of the motherboards here.

Hi Silvan,

Thanks for CR3, it does everything the version I have on my Android tablet does which means I can now produce epub books with Paul's port of Sigil and test them before sending them to the tablet.

Thanks.

HI,
is there a OS/2 port of Sigil? Where can be found?
thanks

The port I have was kindly made available to me by Paul Smedley so I suggest you ask him yourself.

It may be I'll ask him for, but it should be fine having it for everybody.
I suppose the port is not complete, or with some final touches to be added.
I am going to check Paul's site, plenty of so good work, over and over again waiting for it.
Thanks Paul!

The binary is at http://smedley.info/sigil-0.2.0-os2-20100521.zip

It was never extensively tested hence it hasn't been added to my site....
