Well, statistics prove over and over again that the first answer in a multiple choice question is always the right one!

...and I have to say that I can find nothing to object with the first man and his... extraordinarily... well researched and intuitive response.  8)

Having said that and trying to remain more to the truth of who IBM is I have to expand a little bit on the responses of those who went along with the "Barcode" reply.

Barcodes were first developed by IBM for I.G. Farben, (of Nuremberg Trials notoriety)

Here's a blast from the past with the original reason why barcodes where invented...

...there is a great deal in that picture for those that care to look closely...

The picture obviously showing the long-term reason why barcodes were invented... something of which IBM is still aggressively active in today...

... from IBM's own website;
IBM creating "electronic government".

The connections are obvious.

Spend a few hours going through that site and you'll never think the same about our beloved IBM.

Though make no mistake, they, (though unintentionally), did a good thing with OS/2. :D

As much as I like OS/2, and bar codes, they are far from one of the more important things that IBM produced in their labs. IMO, the scanning tunneling microscope leaves them all in the dust. That device has allowed research into the inner workings of the human body, and has allowed discoveries that have improved the overall health of human beings, as well as other things that benefit mankind.

There are probably a few hundred (perhaps thousand) other things, that are never even associated with IBM, that come out ahead of anything mentioned in that video clip.

With that you create a fine demonstration of Cabbalism at its purist.

In a simplistic rewording, (for brevity and clarity), the union of opposites... if you can understand that... and its relevance here... and why it is practiced by those that you look up to.
