I found this site today about spotify clones, http://despotify.se/. If you scroll down you'll come to Jotify which is said to be written in pure Java. To judge from the screenshot it also looks really good. However I have searched around the web and it seems impossible to find the project or the files. I've written to the developer - hoping for an answer. Someone knows about this project? They also offer a sourcecode, http://despotify.se/source-code/ , for Despotify (which Jotify seems to have made use of). Could this source code be used by our platform to make a port? The site also mention criticism against them, however I have hard to see legal restrictions - you have to buy a premium Spotify subscription to use it.

This site works:
http://www.ohloh.net/p/jotify
But it link to GIT hub for download to here (which is broken)
https://github.com/fxb/jotify
The Official URL is also not available.
jotify.felixbruns.de

This GITHub page seems to has the source code only:
https://github.com/arildbjerkenes/jotify

uhm...I also want to try it ;)

Well, the funny but for us sad answer comes here. The author of Jotify told me that he now in fact works for Spotify, which is why the links are gone... Too bad! I asked him to convince Spotify to launch a java version. One can always try ;-) . Still however the source code for Despotify could be usable for us?
