Dave Yeo has . .. .
I've tried the latest Firefox and it works fine until I try to do anything with mouse button 2.  Then it goes poof and leaves the following in popuplog.

The only difference in the 50 odd I have is line 4.

One other thing, 50% of the time I have to kill firefox.exe even though the window has closed.

Hi Ivan

I saw something about a RMB crash in the mozilla ng.

The build was test build2 and it also had problems with plugins.

Looking through the mozilla ng it looks like these problems are gone in test build3 which is somewhere on netlabs as firefox-10.0.4.preview.3.en-US.os2.zip

If you are using the above and still have problems I think you need to post in the mozilla ng.

Thanks Pete.  I tried the latest version, by date, from netlabs and the build 3 as well both had the same results.

At the moment I'm back on firefox8 which works.

Is the newsgroup you are referring to  mozilla.dev.ports.os2 on server news.mozilla.org or some other one?

Hi Ivan

Yes, mozilla.dev.ports.os2 is the best place to report problems as that is the ng the developers/porters monitor.

Pete

It's an extension issue. Certain extensions or mixtures of extensions cause the RMB context menu to continuously redraw until PMMERGE runs out of stack. This problem actually started in FF6 but has become worse in 10.x. You can try disabling extensions until it goes away or as you did, revert to an older version.
Unluckily while trying to debug the issue (one of the reasons for the test builds) it cleared itself up here which makes it hard to fix.
With issues like these, the first thing to do is restart in safe-mode. Help --> Restart with Extensions Disabled.
The Firefox not closing thing is not common and quite likely caused by corruption in your profile. Deleting your cache, looking in your profile for suspicious files, like multiples with numeric extensions might give a clue.
