The fift. .. .

There seems to be more in this category since the EEE PC http://eeepc.asus.com and OLP http://www.laptop.org came out. There is suppose to be one from Everex called Cloudbook. http://gizmodo.com/gadgets/umpc/everex-targeting-the-eee-pc-with-the-new-cloudbook-332160.php There is one from Fujitsu.  http://store.shopfujitsu.com/fpc/Ecommerce/productoverview.do?type=TB&pgid=Tablets I have no doubt that there will be more to come.

I think Packard Bell has re-branded the Everex Cloudbook, I saw it somewhere. Im liking the cloudbook better than the EEEpc so far. Liking the VIA processor @ higher clock, liking the RAM, and liking how the speakers arent vertical next to the screen.

I found the site for it. I had to chose UK instead of USA since it was not listed.  :-[

It does not come with a cd drive but it is sold separately. It seems to have bigger keys than the EEE PC. One could install eCS from an external cd(?).

Saijin_Naib

I hope so. I tried an EEEpc here at my school, and as cool as it was, it simply could not be for me. I have monkey hands and I need a bigger keyboard. Both my hands would barely fit side-by-side on they keypad.

I will try to see if I could use an USB keyboard with the EEE PC. I will try USB Geek to see what they and others have.

The OQO Model 02 looks good, But no review of an install with linux to get the full hardware info.

Here is another small computer; Tiqit.  http://www.tiqit.com/  One could install eCS using an external (USB?) cd or dvd drive?

Here is the Flipstart computer that has been reduced in price by 50%.  8)  If it can run the full version of Win, why not eCS?  ???   8)

Saijin_Naib

Looks like it could work.

Here is another mini-notebook computer - the JVC 741(second link above) - that has a site where someone has installed eCS onto it (first link above).

I found this at the 'other operating systems' section at http://fourm.eeeuser.com

ELONEX? http://www.elonex.com/laptop/  It is more in the OLPC http://www.laptop.org category in that it is for students. It is not released yet but it is suppose to be on 02-28-2008. It is suppose to be 100GBP's.

"This smartly designed mini notebook for children in the developing world involves several trade-offs, but it is a good step for Intel." Another student mini-notebook computer.

"I've been on the lookout for an ultra portable PC that would allow me to travel light for long periods of time without plugging in and purchased a Fujitsu U810 a couple of weeks ago."

Here is another mini-notebook computer from HP.  8)
