Is the April fools joke that it doesn't support sblive, which is probably one of the most commonly used soundcards with eCS machines simply because it had the best drivers. =)

Maybe I'll give this one a go with my onboard audio.  I had stopped a few months ago because of the quality of MP3 playback, however I no longer play music from my computer now that I have my Pioneer amplifier hooked up to my network so it can play music off my computer, and I have a second zone hooked up in my office.

Hi All,[br. .. .

Well the major aim of these releases is HDA.  With more recent ALSA versions, the sblive loads firmware from the local drive and sends it to the sound card - I had troubles getting this code to compile with Watcom.  At some stage, I'll look at it again.

Heh.. I understand Paul =)  I have a HDA onboard and may try it out.  Maybe even take a look at the CVS and see if I can help, I have been coding alot for work and maybe can give it a little time.

You do great work =)

Hi Paul,

I have tried to follow up (2 additional e-mails) with you on your last release, including sending the files you requested, and my observations of mixed (from the recent releases) UNIAUD32.SYS & UNIAUD16.SYS combinations and more.  I have not received any relplies beyond your original, so I have no idea if you have viewed any, or all of that input.  If for some reason you did not receive my mail, let me know and I will send them again.

Yes I've seen your emails, but as yet, I haven't had a chance yet to review the detail.  I do actually have a day job and a family which take up quite a bit of my life.

I do try and reply to emails, but at times I do slip badly behind.....

Paul, I REALLY did not mean it THAT way, as you will see when you read my second e-mail, which was sent to the address I would normally send you mail.  My first mail response (with the attachment) was sent to an address I had never used (or don't recall), since that was the address you had used, and I simply handled it as a reply.  Since it was an .edu address, it occurred to me that the attachment may have caused it to be blocked/filtered.

I believe ALL of us understand your time constraints, based on past references to your "real" life.  :-)  With all you have done to help keep OS/2 viable despite those time constraints, your effort has been nothing short of heroic, and VERY much appreciated by everyone.

Regards,
Sander
