Dialog Enhancer makes extensive use of resource manipulation tools in order to make the changes it requires. Modeled loosely on the Resmgr package by Martin Lafaix, the resource manipulation component allows resource addition, deletion and extraction.
The freeware component is packaged as a Sibyl DLL which is callable from any Sibyl application. Sibyl is a Delphi equivalent visual development system for OS/2. No longer supported, Sibyl is still stable enough to build medium to small applications.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Q. Why is it only callable from Sibyl?
- A. We are unsure how to make a component compiled within Sibyl accessible to REXX and C++ applications. If anyone can shed some light on this, we would be pleased to hear from you!
