When have an machine with dual boot (ArcaOS 5.x / Window 10) you may found some issues that may disable one OS or the other.

Windows 10 Installation "Formats" ArcaOS JFS Partition

This is how the problem looks like from ArcaOS Partition Manager:

  • C: Is the Windows 10 partition
  • X: Is the ArcaOS partition

ArcaOS Installation Volume Manager does not recognize C: Partition because it is on NTFS file system. Windows 10 installer broke the X: partition since it formatted it (without direct request) on the Windows 10 installation procedure. ArcaOS Installation Volume Manager does not recognize also the X: partition because of the lack of NTFS support.

ArcaOS will need to be reinstalled and X: partition will need to be formatted again with JFS file system.

ArcaOS 5.x disable the Windows 10 Boot
