CPUMeter is an enhanced CPU-usage meter, similar to PULSE.EXE. It does not use a counting loop to determine the CPU load. By using the DosQProcStat API call the CPU load and power consumption are reduced. This gives the possibility to show infos about CPU-hogging processes.
The main window can contain the following areas:
- The LineGraph, where the CPU load over time is displayed.
- The DiskWindow(s), where disk use is shown:
- Free space on user-selected drives.
- The size of the swap file
- Space used by other files.
- The SwapWindow, where the size of the swapfile is shown:
- Free space on the swap drive.
- The size of the swap file (or another file on the drive).
- The CPUWindow, where the actual CPU load is displayed:
- The total load of all processes.
- The load caused by the most active process.
- The TextWindow at the bottom gives you information about:
- The total load of all processes.
- The load caused by the most active process.
- The name of the most active process.
