ArcaOS comes with a feature called "Dynamic Icons" (also known as Big Icons) that allows PNG icons to be used on the desktop.

You can enable to change all the icons to a different theme by including this on your CONFIG.SYS file:

SET BIGICONSPATH=C:\SYS\ICONS\BIGICONS

Also change the WPS settings. Go to "System Setup - Workplace Shell" under the "Icon Size" and enable "Use custom icons"

On the next boot you will see that all your desktop icons changed.

David Graser had created a lot of custom set for PNG icons that you can use on OS/2. He usually post these themes on the OS2World Forum thread called BigIcons.
