Possible Cause
An open drive tree folder was one of the restarted objects.
Solution
Ensure all drive tree folders are closed before shutting down.

When using DOS/Windows programs one of the shift keys seems locked down.
Solution
Depress the offending key several times (remembering that there are two of each type).
