DESplit is designed to be compatible with the popular HJ-Split 2.2 file splitter. There is no (known) OS/2 native version of HJ-Split and while the Windows 32-bit version can be run under OS/2 using Odin, it still encounters problems now and then due to the pre-release and constantly changing status of Odin itself.
DESplit version 0.65 alpha is able to split and to join files as well as provide overwrite protection to keep your data safe. It offers other useful options such as verifying that input file sizes match output file sizes and automatic saving of your preferences between sessions.
