Jim Gimpel is the president of Gimpel Software, and is the main architect/programmer for PC-lint and FlexeLint. After receiving his Ph.D. from Princeton University, he joined Bell Laboratories where he worked on the Multics project and the Snobol project. He is also the author of Bastoc (a Basic to C translator), C-terp (a C interpreter), and the C Shroud (a C obfuscation program).
