Paul Giangarra is currently the System Architect for Merlin, the next version of OS/2 Warp Connect on Intel hardware. Paul led the architecture phase for OS/2 for the PowerPC. His experience and accomplishments are in the fields of Operating Systems, Communications Software for Series/1, and small systems. Paul was the Chief Designer for OS/2 during OS/2 1.2, 1.3, and 2.0. He has represented IBM on various standards committees including the DPMI, the PCMCIA Card/Socket Services, and TIS (Tools Interface Standards) committees. Paul is a member of the IBM Senior Technical Staff. He holds a Masters Degree in Computer Sciences from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
