Netutils is a set of command line utilities.
It includes:
- b2m calculates bytes to megs, I use this utility when i burn cd's
- cat like the unix version, but a lot faster
- crc calculates the crc/creates&checks .sfv for file(s)
- fc compares 2 files, byte-for-byte
- ftime changes the timestamp for all the files in the current directory to the current time.
- key displays scancode in hex & decimal for the key you pressed
- kill kills a process, use in conjunction with ps
- locase same as ftime, but converts the filenames to lowercase
- mp3nice makes all the mp3s in the current directory look un-lame. example: "the_orb_-_S.A.L.T-rns.mp3" becomes "the orb - S.A.L.T.mp3"
- ps shows a list of processes (by [zuko] w/dink mods, new: list&kill process by search string)
- slicer.com run this in a dosbox, lets some old dos apps that take 100% cpu chill out by releasing timeslices while waiting for a keypress
- sock shows a list of opened sockets
- soclose closes a socket, use with sock
- speed displays realtime statistics on an ethernet interface
- temp converts fahrenheit -> celcius or vice-versa. use temp c18 or or temp f64
- which searches your path for a certain file
- whois get information on a domain name
- clnt tests the tcp/ip throughput between 2 machines (or localhost)
- srv run this on one machine, then run 'clnt [hostname/ip of machine w/srv running
