ArcaOS comes with a feature called "Dynamic Icons" (also known as Big Icons) that allows PNG icons to be used on the desktop.
You can enable to change all the icons to a different theme by including this on your CONFIG.SYS file:
SET BIGICONSPATH=C:\SYS\ICONS\BIGICONS
Also change the WPS settings:
On the next boot you will see that all your desktop icons changed.
Themes
David Graser had created a lot of custom set for PNG icons that you can use on OS/2. He usually post these themes on the OS2World Forum thread called BigIcons.
