WIN Setup is an alternate install program for Microsoft Windows 3.1. This setup program, however, will run in a VDM, which allows end users to install Windows on HPFS drives (for use with OS/2 for Windows versions of OS/2). Note that the Windows produced on your hard drive is NOT a suitable installation for use under DOS.

Instructions
  • Make sure WINSETUP.EXE is in the same directory as GROUPS.EXE.
  • Run WINSETUP.EXE and follow its prompts.
  • Run OS/2's Selective Install to have OS/2 convert your Windows setup to Win-OS/2.
