Return to The Warp Pharmacy:Software

Last update: 6th November, 1995

Fault

WPS Locks at boot

Additional Factors

System is running ccMail for WPS

Possible Cause

An open drive tree folder was one of the restarted objects.

Solution

Ensure all drive tree folders are closed before shutting down.

Fault

When using DOS/Windows programs one of the shift keys seem s locked down.

Solution

Depress offending key several times (remembering that there are two of each type.

Fault

DOS Programs appear to halt while running.

Cause

OS/2 sometimes erronously thinks that a DOS program is idle when in fact it's just checking for keypresses a lot. For some reason OS/2 doesn't notice that other INT 21 calls are being issued :(

Solution

Turn off idle detection and put up with the system performance "hit". or hold down one of the shift keys (for long jobs a moderately heavy object can be balanced on the left control key.
