As screen resolutions increase and also my age, I started to experience that the default font size of ArcaOS does not fit my needs on HD resolutions and higher. This is why I want to have my personal notes here on how I tweak the desktop configuration to obtain a font size that fit my needs.
Font Size Preference
XWorkplace since version 1.0.16 includes a new feature that allows you to increase the default size of the desktop font. Now if you right click on the desktop and select "Properties" will see on the first tab "Text Size".
This is very useful for the user to select a comfortable font size by using the "Test" button. After a reboot, all the applications that adhere to the common OS/2 font size properties will look with the select font size, saving the user a lot of time of configuring application by application.
Pointers Size
With higher resolutions, it is very possible that you need bigger mouse pointers. ArcaOS has a set of pointers that can help with that.
On "System Setup -> Mouse" you can find the "Pointers" tab to change your pointer icons.
Select "Load Set" and find "Big Black Pointers".
That will increase the size of your pointers.
Icon Size
With the inclusion of "Dynamic Icons" on ArcaOS you can increase the size of you desktop icons.

Font Palette
Font Palette comes from the OS/2 Warp days and it is very important today. With the "Font Palette" you can customize the font style and size of an specific application using "drag and drop"
Open the "Font Palette" and also the application you want to customize it's font.
Drag with a right click from the font the "Font Palette" and drop it on the application.
You will notice the font change on the application.
