CDRecord/2 is the OS/2 port of cdrecord from *nix. It is a direct port of CDRecord and has got every feature of the Solaris version.

For more information about cdrecord go to the cdrecord homepage: [1]. On that page you'll find a list of supported recorders.

There is a GUI available which covers some basic tasks of CDR/W-handling like blanking, loading and unloading media and printing the TOC. Furthermore you may get a full featured frontend (Audio-CD-Creator) with WPS support and everything else you need.

ATAPI-Recorders are now supported thanks to the DaniATAPI.flt driver written by D. Engert.

CDRecord/2 writes without errors on a heavy loaded P133, 64MB, IBM-EIDE-HD system with SCSI-writer with double speed. For example it's possible to write data CDs on the fly piping the output of mkisofs to cdrecord/2 while playing a MP3 in the background and working with the system as usual (of course there is a performance impact).
