Template Box
There is the following template box for software Template:Software
Licensing
Martini (talk) 13:53, 2 December 2013 (CET) There was a suggestion on what can we put in license:
- Shareware
- Freeware
- Commercial
- Open Source - <license>. Like Open source under GNU GPL V2, or just GNU GPL V2.
I found it important to also describe it the software is discontinued, which means that the author is no longer supporting it, like "Shareware. Discontinued". This is important to me since I can focus on try to find the author of this software and try to make it open source or at least freeware.
For me it is important to also categorize the software on also on these categories:
- Shareware
- Freeware
- Open Source Software
- WPS Software: Applications that has WPS classes
- IBM Software
- Qt Software
- Java Software
I got this categories on Category:Software_Categories. This categorization also helps me on my open source software campaign.
