ABSTRACT

This document modifies the following promotions that were announced on October 22, 1991:

  • No-Charge Upgrade Promotion for OS/2® Standard Edition Version 1.X to OS/2 Version 2.0, described in Marketing Announcement 391-178
  • No-Charge Upgrade Promotion for OS/2 Extended Edition Version 1.X to Extended Services with Database Server for OS/2, described in Marketing Announcement 391-179
  • OS/2 LAN Server Version 1.X to Version 2.0 - Entry No-charge Upgrade and Distributed Feature Promotion, described in Marketing Announcement 391-180.

Effective immediately, the IBM OS/2 Version 2.0 No-Charge Upgrade Order Form is to be used to process all no-charge upgrade orders for:

  • IBM OS/2 Version 2.0 Retail Upgrade Package
  • OS/2 Extended Services with Database Server
  • IBM OS/2 LAN Server Version 2.0 (Entry Version).

August 24, 1992, is now the final acceptable date by which all order forms must be received at IBM OS/2 Program Headquarters. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged.

All earlier OS/2® Standard Edition versions must have been acquired on or before March 31, 1992. Your upgrade order must be received on or after March 31, 1992, but no later than August 24, 1992.

All earlier OS/2 Extended Edition and LAN Server versions must have been acquired on or before April 24, 1992. Your upgrade order must be received on or after March 31, 1992, but no later than August 24, 1992.

SECTION 1: FOR IBM OS/2 VERSION 2.0 RETAIL UPGRADE PACKAGE

Fill out if you are upgrading from IBM OS/2 Standard and/or Extended Edition Version 1.0, 1.1, 1.2 or 1.3.

Only one order form can be used per qualifying location (a single building designated by a single mailing address in the United States or Puerto Rico). Photocopies of this form can be used to place orders for additional locations.
