Micro Central Expands OS/2 Line

Micro Central, a New Jersey-based software distributor, has added dozens of OS/2 applications to its product line. Altogether, the company now carries 39 OS/2 titles, mostly from little-known developers. Micro Central began expanding its OS/2 line more than a year ago when one of its key accounts asked for OS/2-based applications which the company did not have at the time.

OS/2 Warp: Part of the Fabric of the World

The question "Who uses OS/2" posted on a UK conferencing system garnered the following response:

  • Amadeus runs OS/2 to provide reservations services to Travel Agents Europe-wide.

ICL to Pre-load OS/2 Warp

ICL, a leading European computer manufacturer, has signed a pre-load contract with IBM. The deal means that ICL will pre-load OS/2 Warp onto Fujitsu ICL, ErgoPro and ErgoLite PCs sold worldwide.

IBM Announces Service Extension for OS/2 2.1 and 2.11 Users

IBM announced that it is extending program service for OS/2 2.1* through February 1996. This action is being taken to protect our customer's investment in OS/2 2.1 mission critical applications that are still being implemented during 1995. A complete list, of the OS/2 software components included in the service extension, is outlined below:

Another Disaster Recovery Tool for Win 95 Users

IBM is developing a utility to help users remove Windows 95 from their drives, install Warp, and move applications from Windows to Warp. The tool will be a part of IBM's anti-Windows 95 marketing campaign set to begin in July.

IBM'S PROJECT EAGLE TO TAKE ON BACKOFFICE
