OO 4.1.11 trouble
« on: March 14, 2025, 01:46:39 pm »
After updating various libs with ANPM I cannot start any of the OpenOffice programs.

No TRP-files but noticed this entry on popuplog.os2:

03-14-2025  13:38:29  SYS2070  PID 0044  TID 0001  Slot 007d
P:\OPENOFFICE\PROGRAM\SOFFICE.BIN
XML22->LIBCN0.2026
182

Any ideas?

Hi Per

Do you have installed the latest libxml2 2.12.4-1.oc00 (from netlabs-exp repo) installed?

If Yes maybe revert to an earlier version eg 2.9.10-3

I'm having this problem too.  Neither AOO 4.1.18 nor AOO 4.1.11 work.  The icon on the desktop goes "Hatched" for a moment, then nothing happens.

Yes libxml2 was the latest level, now reverted to 2.9.10-3 and OpenOffice can "start" a new spreadsheet but saving it results in a crash.
Trying to open an existing spreadsheet also results in a crash, new entries in popuplog:

03-14-2025  18:34:42  SYS2070  PID 004c  TID 0001  Slot 0085

Hi Per

Is libcurl also at the latest 7.75.0-2? - If Yes go back a level, if No maybe try the update.

Same applies if libssh2 1.11.0-1 is installed.

libc version 0.1.13-1 is installed

Hmm, I have 0.1.12-1 installed and the last export from this version is,
Code: [Select]
"___libc_touch" @2026Which is the missing export according to the sys2070's in your popuplog.os2.
I see that 1.13.-1 is available, I'll update, reboot and see if upstream screwed up with the new release.

can you post the results of:
bldlevel c:\usr\lib\libcn0.dll just to be sure?

After updating, the same export is available, curl runs fine. My guess is that you have another libcn installed.
As Paul said, run bldlevel, should show File Version: 0.1.13

There is another libcn0.dll in g:\usr\lib\log with size 4 066 472 while the one in g:\usr\lib has the size 1 274 428

Output of bldlevel g:\usr\lib\log\libcn0.dll :

Build Level Display Facility Version 6.12.675 Sep 25 2001
(C) Copyright IBM Corporation 1993-2001
Signature:       @#bww bitwise works GmbH:0.1#@##1## 2024-08-03 23:04:29      no
vator::::13::@@LIBC Next (build 0.1.13-git)
Vendor:          bww bitwise works GmbH
Revision:        0.01
Date/Time:       2024-08-03 23:04:29
Build Machine:   novator
File Version:    0.1.13
Description:     LIBC Next (build 0.1.13-git)

Output of bldlevel looks identical for both of the libcn0.dll's
I tried replacing the one in usr\lib with the one in usr\lib\log but no success, same errors in popuplog.

The one in \usr\lib\log is the logging version for debugging. Put back your original.
Perhaps reinstall and reboot? I take it you are using Pentium 4 as a platform.

For OpenOffice, have you somehow overriden the LIBPATH setting or the BEGINLIBPATH / ENDLIBPATH setting ?
Are you sure that libcn0.dll is actually found ?
