Free standalone slideshow program or just viewer?

Any old, native, but free, for OS/2 which can read PowerPoint files?

Microsoft made a PowerPoint viewer for 16-bit Windows that runs in Win-OS2

Just for your information, even that OpenOffice is open source, the OS/2 port binaries are offered for a donation value here:
