Last post on this subject:

IBMWorks,
Instructions are correct, with the following caveats:

   use cmd.exe, not 4os.

Unzip bonuspak.zip in the root directory of whatever drive you are using.
This will give you files AND create the directory pathing that you need.

On the OS/2 Warp Version 4 (Code Name: Merlin) - verify you have a file called us.dic - if your system is set to English (US), or uk.dic if English (UK). These files are in: X:\OS2IMAGE\FI\BONUSPAK\IBMWORKS

ISO on the web are labeled ISO English, without regards of UK or US English.

IBMWorks 3.0 is also on the eCS CD #2.

I saw that Roderick Klein already gives a reaction.
Indeed, the eCS version of the IBM bonuspack will not install on an ArcaOS installation.
The eCS boys changed the installation script in such way that it needs a certain eCS directory.

Just create x:\eCS and whichever subdirectories are needed out of BIN, book, boot, dll, DOC. Perhaps just BIN and dll. Add x:\eCS\BIN to the PATH and x:\eCS\dll to LIBPATH with the correct drive letter. Install the bonuspack.

Hi,

When I read the messages, I guess there is a difference between installing the (complete) bonuspack or just IBM works.
Just installing IBM works then the most simple solution is to copy the complete unpacked directory to e.g. C:\Programs.
The name IBMWorks is mandatory (?).
Open a CMD.EXE window, go to the directory C:\Programs\IBMWorks and run the *.cmd that creates the desktop objects.
Add a rule into config.sys for the ibmworks directory and you're done.
Installing the complete bonuspack applications is a different story.
Mine is from the former eCS 2 CD.
And the installation program refuses to work.
A version of OS/2 Warp 3.0 bonuspack installs not from the downloaded and mounted iso with iPods.
Just when the iso was burned to a cd-rom, then the installation works.
Unfortunately, I can't program in REXX.
For now, I'm trying to find an install program of OS/2 Warp 4.0, that replaces the changed eCS version. Perhaps that works and hopefully I can than install the complete bonuspack.

There are copies of the Warp4 ISO floating around, perhaps vetus or winworld. Can't remember but I think everything was on the one CD. The IAK along with all the tcpip apps were moved to the main OS and I can't remember otherwise how it compared to the Warp3 bonuspack, likely different demos and such.
