Arca 5.1 subscription
« on: November 20, 2025, 11:11:25 pm »
Hello!

I have bought "ArcaOS 5.1 -- personal edition" 11 months ago, my subscription ends in about a month, it allows me to download ArcaOS-5.1.1's iso, which I suspect is the latest version to date.

Would renewing my subscription allow me to download 5.2 when it is released or only "within" the 5.1 branch (5.1.2 I guess would be the next one); or when 5.2 is released I would have to buy it again (in which case I might just as well wait for it and not renew it at this time).

Thank you for looking!

The way I have understood the presentations by Lewis Rosenthal at various Warpstocks: your subscription entitles you to any *updates* that are released while your subscription is still valid. 5.1.2 is considered an update to 5.1.1, but 5.2 is considered an *upgrade* and is not covered by your subscription. But a valid subscription at the time of release of 5.2 can provide you with a reduced upgrade price from 5.1.x to 5.2.
